But everyone started kissing Trump's ass ring on Nov 5.

He is the emperor of the world now.

The ass kissing and bowing down commenced on that date.

The belief in one president at a time is old fashioned I guess.

For the past 4 years Trump acted like a rival court at MAL.

Like it or not Trump is the incoming president that they will have to deal with.
Its in the best interest of their countries to try and limit the damage. This does not necessarily mean bending the knee to Trump.

Rather, they know that Trump is highly susceptible to be influenced whether by flattery or perceived benefits. All of these world leaders are way smarter than Trump and hence are playing the game to extract gains for their countries.

That's what we get for having elected a corrupt idiot.

France is in dire straits economically and tariffs certainly won’t help.
Sadly, Macron is forced to make nice. I’m sure he personally hates Trump’s guts but France’s economy is what matters here.

Part of the attraction of electing Trump for his supporters is seeing other countries, like European ones, having to grovel to a bigot.

If a proper adult is elected as US president, other countries can have a grown-up relationship with the USA. GWB was bad enough, but at least he'd reached the "freshman" phase of university, emotionally speaking. Trump is, at best, a 9 year old, and is many ways still about 4.
