(51,697 posts)I would certainly want confirmation that it's legit before assuming so, but.

The other manifesto is being posted by a known internet prankster.
If there is one circulated, it will be vetted by MSM.

(5,898 posts)And I read some articles. I think part of his motivation was that he was suffering from severe spinal problems and he had surgery with three pins, put into his spine to stabilize vertebrae. He had been suffering from severe chronic pain after an injury or from some inherited spinal defect, maybe. I guess we will find out more about that in time.
His family was wealthy so he shouldve been able to afford treatment, although maybe he was not in touch with them due to his mental health problems and got straddled with huge bills for the surgery. Apparently the surgery was not successful. I think he had a surgery that is not as advanced as the most recent ones.
He also appears to me to be suffering from some type of mental illness, such as severe bipolar or some type of a mental break I dont know what the cause could be, perhaps influenced by taking psychedelics. On his profile, he had a picture of a mushroom cartoon, and I think people had said that he was experimenting with taking psychedelics to help his pain.

(51,697 posts)It's a shame that two lives are lost, in addition to the many who are denied health care in this country.

(30,314 posts)I think he was just in pain and bored and started reading a bunch of stuff and got wrapped in something and saw "millions of people" with all these insurance problems and took it on as a cause. Instead of taking care of himself, he tried to "take care of the world" and got so wrapped up in all this stuff and was catastrophizing....if you know what I mean. He probably thought he was gonna "save the world".
