UT closed their DEI office and reassigned its staff to other jobs in accordance with state legislation.

Then, after complaints that this wasn't enough from the legislature and anti-DEI activists, they fired those employees anyway, from their other jobs.

after growing up in a county that was 40% Black. Seems the county won out over the University.
