Hegseth runs to Hannity to spin his attacks on women in the military

Pete Hegseth, Donald Trump’s troubled nominee for secretary of defense, lashed out on Monday at media coverage of his sexist comments about women serving in the U.S. military.

“I want an opportunity here to clarify comments that have been misconstrued that I somehow don’t support women in the military,” Hegseth said during an appearance on Fox News’ “Hannity” on Monday night. “Some of our greatest warriors, our best warriors out there, are women who serve, raise their right hand to defend this country and love our nation, want to defend that flag, and they do it every single day around the globe.”

“I look forward to being a secretary for all our warriors, men and women,” he added.

But despite his protest to the contrary, it is difficult to “misconstrue” Hegseth’s clear objections to women having a significant role in the armed services.

That's who they run to when people don't like them or their ideas. And it's totally not a cult or anything.
