Air traffic controllers, like pilots, have a mandatory retirement age. It's a very stressful job and people burn out fairly young - 56, or in special circumstances, 61 (pilots get to keep working until they're 65).

(61 in a few exceptional circumstances). So unless they took early retirement and are still younger than 56 (maybe 61), they couldn't come back if they wanted to. Why would they want to return even if they could, considering the way FAA is cutting other staff and making ATC's jobs that much harder? And what would happen to the benefits they're currently getting as retirees?

I heard a lady today call into a show who was a travel against said that people are canceling trips and are afraid to fly.

I’m also inthat category. Dropped my plans to go to London in September. And his actions are going to hurt international travel to this country. It’s as if they are blind to the consequences of their idiot actions.

If they render it broken with massive terminations of employment they can then hand the operation over to Space X,... Eloons subsidiary.

If an emergency takeover of the FAA is required by Space X. With so little time for review, by pResidential Order will be a no bid contract for Eloon's company.

And is going for better quality.
Because he couldn't for the life of him admit that maybe he made a mistake firing the people who keep planes from colliding.
