40 years ago, we cared about the world: "We are the World"... (USA for Africa)

--now with USAID demolished, we will let the world die... As one who worked a lot on public health interventions overseas, I am so devastated right now, I can barely function. So when I woke up with Netflix on my iPad and saw the recommendation for the documentary on the making of "We Are the World," I did not ignore the 'cosmic' nudge.

Such a different time. We have lost so much in such a short time--and so many. So too the world in coming days, weeks, months. I dare you to watch without

It needs to be drilled into the American conscious as to what we have already lost and stand to lose next.

He was probably laughing derisively at the time about all the “do gooder” celebs trying to make a difference in the world. Sick and selfish cynicism is his trademark.

Holy crap!

It is a most excellent idea then, and now. There has to be enough big money stars out there to finance it, and participate. Unless everyone is just too apathetic anymore.
