The president made the move this week to begin firing the very people in charge of election security in this country, leaving our systems more vulnerable to the very things Trump has whined about for years except now they could actually happen. I was just thinking the same thing. Our elections are run by the states and even down to countywide.

(4,408 posts)3. Counties, run the Elections - the States just take the accumulated totals to report to the Fed.
That is why I was totally surprised that Harris didn't request recounts and also request a hand count in at least one of the swing states. If a serious discrepancy was found then it would have been more than likely, all the swing states would have been in error. Even if someone had changed the electronic counts the hand recount would have shown that. My thoughts.
