Greenland Inquiry

I don't understand why Trump's sights are on Greenland. Is it coveting of some unique rare earth minerals? I've not heard any plausible basis for their focus on Greenland.

And, yes, on top of that lays the likelihood of one of the few remaining untapped reservoirs of natural resources.

While perfectly obnoxious, and the the perfect picture of privilege, greed and colonial avarice - the actual potential for real tangible gain here is probably more tangible and realistic - and at the same time far less petty and myopic than would be any case involving Panama.

Trump wants to control ALL of North America, mush as Putin wants most of Europe.

Mining the rare earth minerals is impractical as Greenland is anything but green and it's covered with miles-thick ice and snow.

Trump's threats to Canada, Greenland and Panama illustrate the big picture Trump is looking at.

Of course, none of those countries will willing cede their sovereignty. Trumps economic trade wars won't break those countries so he'll have to consider military actions. Could he start a world war? I think so.
