It's "merit cleansing." They earned their positions with qualifications and good work on behalf of the American people.

In the assault on DEI which includes the firing of women and minorities based on the racist/misogynist trope they were hired only because of their gender or skin color, Trump has appointed egregiously unqualified people to head head government agencies based soley on their sycophancy to him or ideological extremism.

He justified his actions by asserting our government would be a meritocracy, but what he's doing is merit cleansing.

Until someone somewhere on national television does something similar that can serve as a simple spark to light the resistance FIRE seen by tens of millions we are going to continue to witness the total dismantling of our Democracy IMO.
