Musk has lost almost a third of his Net Worth

Last edited Sat Mar 29, 2025, 10:21 AM - Edit history (3)

Down $150 billion in some reports. And nothing has changed in his life. Still a giant destructive asshole.

But a wealth tax of 1% would destroy the economy and cause the rich to fle the country.
God forbid their riches went to help others.

This isn't about Musk, but the Rich in this country who are sucking us dry and not giving back.

I have to admit I am not up on this. I’ve been so busy with my business, and other work, that I’m kinda behind. What tax dollars is Musk stealing? Can you link up some examples?

If I am understanding you correctly. You hate someone (that you don’t know) so deeply, that you couldn’t care less if 150,000 people lose their jobs? And that isn’t even counting the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of support jobs.

Personally, I don’t celebrate anyone losing their job. I might wish Ill upon people from time to time. But I’ve never hoped the fallout affects innocent people. Sometimes my anger gets the best of me and I wish Ill upon my competitors. So I get it. But when I factor in the human toll, my emotions become tempered.

Many post here about Musk and his DOGE goons now have unhampered access to all levels of Government, including tax dollars.

He is dismantling the US Government, so that is my concern.
I actually think Tesla stock is overpriced by a factor of 10, so I would like to see his fortune collapse.
Tesla can still make cars, and people will still work there., but it would be in line with other auto makers.
And yes I hate Musk. As I do Trump and most of the GOP.

27. for perspective - Musk's wealth can see-saw up and down - losing nearly 100 billion
Sat Mar 29, 2025, 11:48 AM
Saturday
(by some estimates) in a short two months - (while also gaining 87 billion in just December of last year)
And still, today, remain far and away the richest person on earth - by a margin of almost another 100 billion.

- Fortune, Feb. 11, 2025 - - After reaching a net worth of more than $486 billion in December, Elon Musk’s wealth has sunk below $400 billion for the first time in 2025. Tesla—where Musk derives about 60% of his wealth—has had an abysmal year. Waning demand and Musk’s continued controversial foray into politics have helped drive the stock down 27%.

Elon Musk has lost nearly $90 billion of his wealth in less than two months, pushing his net worth below $400 billion for the first time this year, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, as Tesla weathers a double-digit stock slump.

Musk’s wealth reached historic heights in December when he became the first person to boast a net worth of $400 billion. That astronomical figure continued to climb until Dec. 17, when Musk’s wealth peaked at $486.4 billion, thanks to SpaceX’s $350 billion valuation and investors’ big bet on Musk’s expansive role in President Donald Trump’s inner circle.

Just two months later, Musk’s net worth has been humbled by Tesla’s share price, which has cratered 27% in less than two months. Tesla saw its first year-over-year sales loss in more than a dozen years, selling 20,000 fewer vehicles in 2024 than the year before, as it competes with China’s more affordable BYD

People complain that taxes is money thrown into a black hole. But in reality, every cent received as tax is used (and then some, as we run a deficit), that money used goes back into the economy and is circulated.

What is a black hole is the net wealth of the super rich. When they're holding billions and billions of dollars, they're not spending it, so it is like a black hole for money: money goes in, it doesn't go out.

talk about him being worth $400B is from. Space X isn't a public Company so he probably loots the shit out of it with no BOD to keep him in check but not an additional $200B.

As of Friday his shares have lost $93.87 billion since 12/18/24. He's lost all most half of the stock value he once had in Tesla. It's so bad most of the people on the BOD including his brother have sold stock.

The stock went up after the WH dog and pony show when the Musk dip shit fan boys started buying it again as high as $291+ per share. Now over the last few days it's tanked to $260 and they're getting BURNT--again.
