Others have said it, and to me it is very clear, Senator Booker should make a try to become the Democratic Senate leader

He has more than demonstrated that he has the right stuff, and that is what we need NOW!!!

the Democratic leader in the Senate. Schumer exudes weakness, and the GOP sense it constantly.

One day he is a firebrand. The next day, he sounds like the biggest appeaser in the Senate.

I do think he has ears. A good politician sees which way the wind is blowing and races that direction. Schumer is completely deaf. Booker is probably the best chance we'd have at replacing Schumer, and maybe that is part of his thinking with the filibuster. Think of it as a job interview.

And with Murphy coming to his side, that may be more than symbolic. Things could move quickly in the current climate. With Booker as Leader, I could see Jeffries being willing to take more risks. Nobody can trust Schumer. I don't believe either Booker or Jeffries are true progressives at heart, but I do believe they know which way the winds blow and will go part of the way.

I think he would be a good choice looking forward to the 2026 and 2028 elections. He's more dynamic, more energetic, and more willing to take it to the Republicans.
We need that right now.

are even aware it's going on. Democrats need to learn the art of the spectacle. Drag a podium out to the Capitol steps and filibuster there.

This is great stuff! I wish the press would cover this more but hopefully once he beats the record they will. And agree he's got the passion and drive which is what we need out front.
