This is what FAUX is telling their viewers about tariffs

Harris Faulkner: "Look, when this nation used to go to war, people in this country would support the war effort with their materials at home and making things for weaponry. We have to do 100% buy in over this bumpy period."

I love southpaw's (@nycsouthpaw.bsky.social) response: When this nation used to go to war, there was actually a war.

The stupidity, it burns. We are supposed to suffer and make do while trump lights the economy on fire FOR NO REASON or we are not "patriotic." That is what they are selling. And you know their audience will buy it.

That whole statement made no sense at all.
Besides, during war he's talking about, there was rationing, so the consumer economy was VERY slow. It was war spending that spun up the economy.
So, if he wants rationing to put in tariffs, then we don't need tariffs because nobody will be buying anything.
Boy, these guys are dumb.
