Fear of Clicking

I want to know what the phobia is. You know, the fear of clicking on "... got Talent," "Penn and Teller Fool Us," or some old clip from "Friends." The fear that your feed will then turn into a nightmare blend of "Perfect Strangers" and some trivialized ruin of the original "Star Wars."

Not that you even have to click. Just scanning across the field on YouTube and you will end up with ten things you never saw or wanted to in your history.

Come about when people click on something - that is, they invite it to colonize their machine. Happens because of general lack of knowledge about computers and the internet. And it's kinda understandable in a way - not everyone is a digital security maven.

IMO, a better approach is to make your machine as secure as you can with browser extensions etc AND learn how to read URLs so you know where they are taking you.
