LIVE: Family of migrant deported to El Salvador in error holds briefing

It is important to get Kilmar Abrego Garcia immediately returned to the US.

No person should be "disappeared" from the US. Any and all US government officials responsible for his "disappearance" and this flaunting of the law and of due process should be prosecuted. There is no interpretation under which this situation in which due process is abrogated can be rationalized and minimized as an "administrative error".

Abrego Garcia must be rescued. No one should be sent to be imprisoned in El Salvador. (Is the name of that country not just horribly wrong now?)

The US used to at least pretend to be better than this.
