Trump is full on nutz. Pharmaceutical plants are going to leave China and are pouring back into here.

And then something about “I know how to play the devaluation game.” and “They have to get
their plants back here.” So he is hitting China with massive tariffs and talking about all the
(pharmaceutical) plants that are closing in China and will be coming here.

Video @ link if you can stomach it.

Donald Trump defended his recent economic moves at the dinner, saying: "Companies are pouring back into our country with plants. ... They've stopped building in Mexico, four or five plants, and they're all coming into the United States. I know what the hell I'm doing. I know what I'm doing, and you know what I'm doing, too. That's why you vote for me."

Snip

Conference Board economist Erin McLaughlin told The Financial Times: "It will take between three and 10 years in most cases to build a new manufacturing facility in the U.S. Everything takes time before you can get that picture of a congressman with a shovel in their hand."

These #s and facts are from “the internets” so I don’t know how solid they are.

There has been a 600% increase in pharmaceuticals from China since 2016 and China owns the
market for generic drugs in America too. Again I am not sure how accurate that information is.

be screwed. I have a bacterial infection and I now wonder where the antibiotic I am using or the
drug I use to clean my “pick line” is from.

It’s the most well-known secret on Capitol Hill: China owns the American generic drug supply chain. Basic thyroid or blood pressure medications might finally be put into pill form in an Indian lab and sold under an Indian brand like Cipla. But the organic compounds, or key starting materials, mostly come from China. China is also a key supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). As a result, the U.S. generic drug market is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese and Indian drug makers.

Although they say on their home page they are bipartisan and trustworthy.

I have also found out that China makes a shit load of chemicals that are
precursors in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals both in China and
in other nations too.

Trump is like a drunken monkey on meth with a machine gun or is being told
what to do by the likes of Putin for maximum chaos. He and his cronies along
with his supporters are bent on destroying America.

My insulin is made in North Carolina and Denmark apparently... but Denmark is the main location and they also manufacture in Brazil, China and France.

I really wish that Trump didn't sell the main attribute of the American people as being that we are the world's biggest consumers of pharmaceuticals, and everything else. In his eyes that is our principle value and greatest achievement.

It's true, but it's such a dubious and trivial distinction.

I wish he understood the value of our scientists, physicians, meteorologists, climatologists, universities, etc..

I'm on tricare for life and they cover drug cost for me except for shipping which they will probably raise the shipping cost to cover the raise in prices some how. But I don't know how the other programs work, any body what to give it a shot on explaining it to me?
