Wonder Why

Even from a Tariff Lover's point of view, Trump should be considered an idiot.

Suppose you believe that the world is against you economically because they have a trade surplus with your country. So you think tariffs will help. What would you do?

If you had half a brain (you wouldn't have more or you wouldn't believe that stuff), wouldn't you impose a tariff against the chief offender (China) and nobody else? Everyone else would support you. Europe, Canada and Mexico have the same complaint with them and most of South America, much of Asia and parts of Africa would agree as any country with higher paying salaries for the poor would tend to buy more inexpensive goods from China. For those countries where pay is even lower, they resent that China gets all that business when they would like more of it to keep their own poor employed to avoid internal unrest and reduce their deficits.

The last thing to do would be to impose tariffs on everyone which results in losing the support of all the rest of the world. That's the stupid mistake donnie made last time and repeated again. Everyone, from an economic viewpoint, is fighting us.

You, the half brain tariff lover, would wait until you "destroyed" China's trade surplus before moving on a little at a time, squeezing a few countries at a time so as not to lose everyone you haven't already screwed.

Ergo, anyone with even half a brain cannot favor what donnie did and that is proof their mentality is is not even the size of half a brain. Q.E.D.
