I don't know if Gov. Whitmer has presidential aspirations or not

But we really need all Democratic Governors working together to fight the con. We need them to keep open dialogue on how to plan, fight, strategize and limit his destruction. We need them working as a unit. Now is not the time to be looking for a position for a 28 Presidential run. Too much damage and destruction is happening now and will continue to happen before 28 even gets here. I realize that some Democratic Governors have to work with Republicans in their State, and I realize that State's do have unique issues and problems that need to be addressed, but going rogue isn't helpful for anyone or for the future.

This advice applies to our Democratic AGs and Secretaries of State too. There is too much at stake and these elected Democrats are the only ones with some power to limit the damage.

I know that she was focused on financial support for Michigan. She made Trump looked
strong and she looked and acted pathetic. It is not a good look for the candidate..

But how potential 2028 hopefuls are acting now, when we are in our bleakest moments is helping me make some important decisions.

I really thought Newsom and Whitmer were going to be on my short list. They've now been crossed off.

However some stronger names like AOC, Elizabeth Warren, Tim Walz, Pete Buttigieg, Jasmine Crockett, and Cory Booker are really capturing my attention.

I don't want my state to be targeted by Tump, she is playing nice to try to protect our state from his wrath and try to protect our auto industry.

But there is no playing nice with the con artist. Attempting to do so will only get you burned.

I'm from New York State. I've known Trump for years. He's a lying, fraud, con artist, bastard and there is a long line of people who's reputations and careers have been destroyed by attempting to play nice with him.

If Trump isn't sending aid to Arkansas, where his former press secretary is the current governor, nothing your governor does is going to protect your state.

Governor Whitmer would have better luck if she whistled while walking in a Detroit graveyard at midnight!!!

stuck (fooled) into being a supportive backdrop to that damn TSF jerk’s public pronouncements? I’m thinking by the time she realized what he was doing it was too late.

We’ll probably only hear what happened later but I’ll bet it was not a position she wanted to be put in

Americans won’t vote for them and Dems WILL choose a vanilla white guy for 2028.

If I were her, I’d probably be doing everything I could to protect my state too, 2028 be damned, since she knows she won’t be the nominee.

Two remarkable women who were more qualified and prepared for the position than many of the candidates in my lifetime.

I will never advocate for alienating Democratic women from seeking the position. That is what Republicans want. I am not in favor of keeping the patriarchy.

Unfortunately American voters appear to be racist and sexist. I wish that weren’t so but it’s very clear now after voters rejected two of the finest women candidates ever.

Above all in 2028 we need to win in order to (maybe) reverse this situation. Guessing the Dem party will nominate two men, at least one (or both) white.
