I saw they were selling those stupid masks that the professional thugs are wearing while kidnapping brown people in this country. There were about six of them so I just kind of took them and shoved them behind the. Metal shelf that they were hanging on.
Id like to put a little slit and spray pepper spray in there, but Im sure I would get caught and go to jail.

(38,128 posts)I'm betting that, at most, you deprived folks who work outside in the winter (farmers, mail carriers, road crew, etc.) of needed protection. I'm sure glad you couldn't find pepper spray or something to slit it with.
I get the impulse, but as someone who grew up walking a mile to school in the bitter cold and wind - not cool.

And FWIW - my reaction was Saturday.

(826 posts)that you did nothing that will affect ICE agents in any way shape or form but, instead, made it more difficult for people to find masks during winter flu season.
Brilliant!

I don't think so. What you did in absolutely nonsensical, including your reason for doing so.

(14,240 posts)I saw they were selling the chocolate croissants and there were only two packages left and I bought them both.
It was kind of a dirty trick but I did it anyway.

(1,749 posts)I would turn over books by the right wingers or Christian types. Sometimes would move them to places they weren't easily seen. Not really hiding them, just making the dumbasses have to really look for them.
My small bit of resistance, and probably didn't work, but it was my "do what you can, where you are, with what you have" effort.

The only person bothered was the minimum wage stocker who got to deal with it long after the self-satisfaction left the building.

(3,408 posts)Looks like some DUers are inclined to agree with that assessment.
I don't think people are being judgmental, I think you're just not getting the reactions you hoped for when you posted it.
Lastly, I'm inclined to doubt that ICE agents get their masks from 7-11 so I'm not sure what your action was intended to accomplish other than inconveniencing people, and in a convenience store, of all places.

(3,408 posts)It's at best pointless and at worst prankish, even childish.
Also, an appeal to the majority isn't particularly convincing, I'm afraid.
Your stated wish of lacing the masks with pepper spray when you have no clue who will buy them and when it's highly unlikely that ICE agents, the targets of your ire, will buy them... well, that's a look, but it's not the "brave resistance fighter" look you were apparently going for here.
Maraya1969
(23,415 posts)any idea someone else has. It serves no purpose except for their own need, whatever that may be . And I said I would not put pepper spray in the package so why try and criticise for it unless for that own personal need?
Jedi Guy
(3,408 posts)Hiding those masks accomplished absolutely nothing apart from inconveniencing other people, and I'll grant you that it's a very, very minor inconvenience. It didn't affect ICE agents in the slightest, though. Trying to frame it as some act of resistance is, to be very blunt, laughable.
As for the pepper spray, would you have gone through with it if you knew for absolute certain that you wouldn't have gotten caught?
