The system seems to be working. I got my letter with the new monthly amounts for 2026 earlier.

(4,271 posts)Especially after making you jump through all the login hoops first?
I've been saying for at least 40 of the last 45 years "Make the computer do it, it's far more accurate (before AI) and much more repeatable (before AI)".
Tell me you're closed, before I waste 5 minutes trying to get ssa.gov, login.gov, and/or id.me to cooperate as they're supposed to.
Edit to add:
Sorry you were probably being sarcastic.
They close at weekends too

(6,632 posts)You aren't the only one who has asked that question.
The offline hours are morning hours for me, a good time to check since I am 6 hours ahead of Eastern time.
Just a notification right at the login page would be good.

Once set up.
The new ID proving stuff can be a pain but once it it works well.

(1,961 posts)I ask because I can't get into the website at all. It's a long story, but to shorten it, I can't get past the security questions (among other issues). They ask me three questions, which I answer correctly and I get a message that says my answers are NOT correct and they lock me out. I went through that so many times I just gave up. If everything is strictly through the website, I'm going to have to contact them and go though the hassle of trying to get some help for who knows how long; that is, if I can actually get through to them in the first place.
That is one headache I'm not looking forward to.

(35,223 posts)my county from their rolls. So I did have to find a new insurance company AND a new drug company for 2026. Then I did get a 2nd letter from Social Security saying they WONT BE TAKING ANY $$$ out for my insurance coverage, because the insurance company will take my payments right from my checking account. So, I did get notified twice by mail.

As for the login you may have to call to get that sorted out.
Good luck.
