What America Might Look Like With Zero Immigration

What America Might Look Like With Zero Immigration
The Trump administration’s efforts to reduce the foreign-born population are being felt in hospitals and soccer leagues and on Main Streets across the country, with hints of what’s to come.

Across the United States, someone is missing.

One year into President Trump’s immigration crackdown, construction firms in Louisiana are scrambling to find carpenters. Hospitals in West Virginia have lost out on doctors and nurses who were planning to come from overseas. A neighborhood soccer league in Memphis cannot field enough teams because immigrant children have stopped showing up.

America is closing its doors to the world, sealing the border, squeezing the legal avenues to entry and sending new arrivals and longtime residents to the exits.

Visa fees have been jacked up, refugee admissions are almost zero and international student admissions have dropped. The rollback of temporary legal statuses granted under the Biden administration has rendered hundreds of thousands more people newly vulnerable to removal at any time. The administration says it has already expelled more than 600,000 people.

The anti-immigrant backlash - and Trump's return to power - could have been prevented.

Inventing reasons to hate other, other people. They’ll turn their hatred towards trump for not having non white people to harass and force out of the country. They’ll fear for the day that they might actually like someone. The horrors. It will all be Joe Bidens fault.

If a different country's expedition first arrived based on different motives. Maybe Scandinavians revisit before Spain. Or maybe Asians.

If it were the Japanese, would they have been any less brutal than the Spanish or the English? Would the exploitation of Africa and the Arab lands happened sooner?

From the article: "In 2024, they [Mexican-American voters] shifted toward Mr. Trump"

This seems to me to be misleading if not downright wrong: "Hispanic voters backed Harris over Trump by a 62% to 37% margin" : https://unidosus.org/press-releases/hispanic-voters-back-harris-over-trump-by-a-62-37-margin-cite-economic-concerns-as-top-priorities/

That would mean there wouldn't be any white or black people here at all. The red man would be all there was.
