Will a President pass away in 2026?

With the new year quickly approaching, do you predict a former or current President will pass away in 2026? We have four Presidents who are at least 79 years of age or older so it is actuarially possible and not unreasonable for any of them to pass away by natural causes. The fifth one is only 64 so it would be very surprising in his case. Of these five men, which of these, if any, will pass away in the coming year?

A few have to be on your list. Given their age, they aren't worth too much.

Trump will live to his 90s (with dementia) like his father. Good genes outweigh Big Macs. Please may this prediction be wrong.

I think Trump is showing signs of vascular dementia which is directly tied to his cardiovascular disease and unfortunately not a progressive disease the way Alzheimer's is. But fear not! There is still plenty of time and opportunity for him to develop Alzheimer's dementia on top of his vascular dementia. I know some have claimed evidence of frontal temporal dementia but I’m feeling like he’s been deficient in that department since he was at least 5 years old throwing rocks at a baby - so lack of empathy is not a personality change for this guy and in any case, FTD is not usually as relentlessly progressive and lethal as ALZ from what I have seen.

Now for the more cheerful side - I think he does have pretty significant heart failure, AND, I think he’s missed some critical treatment windows. He might have been eligible for a transplant before the election but he it would have meant losing, and he needed to not be in jail. Obviously he won’t be doing it now, and by the time he leaves that office, I don’t think anyone will be willing to put him on the table for an operation like that.

See? There IS hope.
