I live in Minneapolis Metro area...

Surely this is a horrible time for us.

I've been trying to find the one issue that can explain to America what we protest about. I believe that it's "due process."

Minnesotan's are not law breakers. We are defending "due process." The ICE/Border Patrol actions have completely shredded the norms that we have come to expect from law enforcement. We are asking that people be arrested with warrants, that those arrested get access to legal counsel before appearing in court.

To those who say just let them do their jobs, I have to say, ICE/Border Patrol are not doing their jobs. They are taking short cuts that will become the norm if not challenged. That is why we are on the streets.

Since they received due process, immigrants who were denied asylum, those convicted of crimes, and those with active orders of removal, should be the only ones being deported by ICE.

I live in Chicago and they pulled a lot of the same shit here. It was horrible here, but it’s worse there! People who have not experienced this, don’t quite understand how bad it really is.

They're doing things the law says they can't do but their costume-wearing, ass-kissing political flunky boss tells them to do. For instance, ICE can't just stop traffic and try to enter people's vehicles, as they did at the Good shooting, without them having warrants for specific vehicles to apprehend specific people.

Vanilla ICE is doing its job. They're carrying out their new mission under this regime to strike fear and terror in targeted communities by violating due process.

What's novel is that the orders are being carried out in a place like Middle America Minneapolis where we aren't used to seeing (white) people so under siege. Sadly, this is what it takes for a louder wake up call to those who didn't "think it would get as bad as all that." They were warned.

even local cops are disgusted with them. They act like a good squad. Its time to send those Border patrol morons back to wetback patrol in Texas and the desert.

- are simply not paying attention. They are not law enforcement. They are not federal agents, they do not respect the US Constitution. There is no legitimacy of office or position to be respected here. They are killing people. They are thugs of the regime. Full stop.

And, this is not about immigration.

We would do better to strategize protecting ourselves, our loved ones and our communities. They do not deserve any benefit of doubt.

How these masked, armed thugs can just assault people -- throwing them to the ground, beating them, pepper-spraying them in their faces, and of course outright murdering them -- is beyond me. It's outrageous.

There are no excuses. "She/he was interfering" - no, they weren't. "They threw a snowball." Insane.

You don’t get to choose the time, but you get the opportunity, you have to answer. The Twin Cities have answered again.

It probably won’t be the last time.
