(2,611 posts)From Politico:
Kid Rock, a longtime supporter of President Donald Trump, will be joined by country artists Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.
I have no idea who these other people are, so I went to the Wiki.
From Wikipedia's Brantley Gilbert page:
Brantley Keith Gilbert (born January 20, 1985) is an American country rock singer, songwriter and record producer from Jefferson, Georgia.
In 2013, Gilbert embarked on an eight-day USO tour to entertain American service members stationed in Italy and Kuwait.[37]
Brantley Gilbert was in a near-fatal truck accident when he was 19.[38] Gilbert is an active Christian, and his song "My Faith In You", from his album Just as I Am, speaks of his faith. In May 2015, Gilbert got a tattoo showing his support of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.[39]
Gilbert headlined the NRA's Country Concert in February 2023.[40]
In April 2023, Gilbert smashed a can of Bud Light on stage after saying "Yeah, fuck that". Bud Light had recently become the focus of a boycott from conservatives because of a sponsored Instagram post by transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney.[41]
From Wikipedia's Lee Brice page:
Kenneth Mobley Brice, Jr. was born on June 10, 1979, in Sumter, South Carolina, to Kenneth, Sr. and Carleen Brice[2] His younger brother, Lewis, was a contestant on Season 1 of Country Music Television's Can You Duet.[3] As a child, he played piano and guitar, sang in church, and wrote his own songs.[1] He entered and won three different talent contests in high school.
He attended Clemson University on a football scholarship. He played special teams there as the long snapper, but after an arm injury, he decided to focus on a country music career.[4]
From Wikipedia's Gabby Barrett page:
Barrett is one of eight children born to Blaise and Pam Barrett. She attended Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania southeast of Pittsburgh but transferred to being an online student at Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School.
She began singing at nine and doing shows at eleven. In 2014, she won the Kean Quest Talent Search. At 14, her father encouraged her to sing in an all-black choir, which prompted her to join the Lamb of God Christian Ministries group in Homestead, Pennsylvania close to McKeesport.[1]

(8,643 posts)I mean I believe you, but wow.
I am not a sports fan, but I do notice that most NFL and basketball players have color to their skin.
I don't understand why these sports are so popular with white racists.
And Bad Bunny, he is a walking, breathing, singing, dancing ambassador for Puerto Rico and Latina heritage. All his singing is in Spanish as well!
By him performing at the Superbowl IS a billboard and more! BTW maga racists, Bad Bunny is the number one international musical superstar!
And an American!
Maga protests are planned.

(69,082 posts)Whenever somebody says "he should shut up and dribble" or some variation you know you're looking at a racist who thinks the proper role of people of color is to entertain white people.
And they don't want hear any back talk.
I'm an old white woman and I wish more white people would acknowledge this fact. Then maybe the country could stop electing Trumps.

(10,602 posts)Then, you have no concept of 'The Coliseum'.
They love watching others do death matches. Of course, we don't do that anymore (in public), so they do it through the sports programs.
And, just like NASCAR fans, they are not there to see the winning... they are there to see crashes and fights!

(24,877 posts)Charlie Puth will sing this to open the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Im reminded of a line from a spectacularly failed Broadway musical called Dance A Little Closer, (it closed on Opening Night! The producers even cancelled the party).
A character said, Im skeptical about a national anthem that begins with Uh, oh!

(131 posts)Kirk was basically a neo nazi. New KKK, etc...
The whole MAGA clan stand basically for the exact same agenda as David Duke ran on in the early 1990s. This is White Christian Nationalism.
Why are we surprised?
