The creator of an AI tool to do students' homework for them says it's just how cars replaced horses (404 Media)

AI peddlers and users come up with the dumbest justifications for these dumbing-down tools...

In response to critics who say an AI tool that does your homework for you misses the entire point of education, the creator of Einstein says it's just how cars replaced horses 🐴

Just for fun I am auditing a college history course on the 1960s. The professor is a seasoned veteran even though its only a 100 level course. She allows NO use of a phone, AI or even Google for assignments or in class and says if she even gets a sniff of that....you are gone. Both my wife and son use AI for work but basically as a glorified encyclopedia and do some basic coding. They say they get so much incomplete and inaccurate info that they still have to go through and make their own complete and accurized version of what they want, it will never replace anyone although it does save time in gathering references and getting to a start point.

Anything for the next investor round.

Anything for the next quarterly report.

Anything to keep the vaporware "alive".

I mean if you don’t know enough about history to put together analogies that work…….

Let's see how you do on the exam when there's no access to AI.

The purpose of education is to create well-rounded adults from kids. It’s to teach kids how to think critically and develop skills.

Maybe that analogy about cars replacing horses should make us think a little more deeply.

Maybe moving fast and breaking things has a downside the movers and breakers aren’t,t clever enough to comprehend

Wonder if this homework innovation will speed up the destruction.

As AI becomes more pervasive and in essence performs the homework function what happens to memory of students of all ages?
