Voters have soured on Trump, but polls suggest they still have their doubts about Democrats. Long time Democratic strategist and president of The Searchlight Institute, Adam Jentleson, joins Charlie to discuss past mistakes and the challenges now facing the Democratic Party. Also, Trump's State of the Union, and Senator John Fetterman.

for example, trumps incompetence during covid led to inflation, we are going to do x to reduce it (in this case remove the cost of insane tarrifs or improve productivity so that prices come down).

That said, we also need to support primary challenges to Democrats who are hurting the party... I won't name names here because it will get me reported, but we all know who these people are.

(3,763 posts)pointing out that Dems have won 69 out of a hundred something special elections held over the last year or so.
I would think that points to a winning strategy.

Don't think so.

(3,763 posts)We need to look at the winning strategies those dems used. What worked? What didn't? How many more strategies do we need? Do we need to tailor our strategies to a specific race or region? What was the common thread in the winning strategies?
And it may not be strategy at all- it just maybe that t and his cabinet are doing things on a daily basis that are turning voters off, and many of them are voting dem to get us back on track.
