As of February 26, 2026, the Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) board deemed a new $111 billion all-cash offer from Paramount (specifically Paramount-Skydance) as "superior" to the previous deal with Netflix.
Paramount's bid is valued at $31 per share for the entire company, surpassing Netflix's earlier $83 billion offer for select assets.

What a suck fest!

Whose idea was it to have them sing and dance on Strange New Worlds?

I watched ST:IV for the first time in twenty years. The picture quality on Paramount can be quite poor.

My Paramount subscription ends in two days. It wil not be renewed for a long time.

I'm not sticking it out for eps 9 and 10. I'll catch them next year.

When Paramount makes the remaining 16 episodes of SNW, then I'll resubscribe, and then I can be disappointed with that.

It was never my favorite plot device. I didn't like it DS9.

In general, I find most episodes where the actors play alternative versions of their characters to be just silly.

It's fair to ask which corporation is more likely to bury content and fire employees for entirely political reasons.

Personally, I'm not in the game. My wife and I watch less than seven hours of television a week, none of it news or opinion, and nothing with advertising.

We don't have cable, satellite, or broadcast television. Our television plays one or two no-advertising streaming services and DVDs. That's all it does.

If television disappeared entirely we'd read more books.

I do worry about how these "corporate wars" will affect the political climate in the U.S.A..
