If you haven’t spent any time on the military brevity codes for ammunition status, I can’t blame you. This is a niche subject, but there are four tiers: green, yellow, red, and black.

Green – Fully mission capable; sufficient supply for the mission/

Amber/Yellow – Limited supply; degraded capability. You start picking and choosing targets more carefully.

Red – Serious shortage; the mission is significantly impacted. You can only address the most critical targets…if that.

Black – No supply. Completely exhausted.

So when Trump posted this lunacy on Trash Social, my ear pricked up. (And with my ears, there’s a lot of prick up.) Despite his boasting, I suspect we’re deep in the Yellow status, knocking on the door of Red.

As a saying goes: Piss-poor planning leads to piss-poor performance.

Middle East only has enough for 7-10 days. Then there is nothing to stop Iranian missiles.

We only produce 7/8 THAAD missiles a month. One THAAD missiles costs 15 million and it often takes 2 missiles to take down one 20 thousand Iranian missile

So we pay $30 million to take down a 20 thousand drone but soon we be out of THAAD missiles. We also have Patriots in Israel - $2 to $4 million each - we produce 600 a year is should be gone in days. NYT says ARROW interceptors dangerously low.

Rubio mentioned this like he just discovered they were running out of top interceptors.
