My afternoon went no better
than my morning. I got in my vehicle to go home after work and hit the MS Never channel. That addle brained Katy Tur was on and she brought on Fetterman so he could talk about why he's voting against the War Powers bill. I know we have to put up with him like we had to with Manchin and what's her name (I know her name I just don't want to type it and have my fingers be guilty of speaking evil) but the load of lies from both of them was just too much.
At one point Fetterman said that Iran had 900 pounds of weapons grade nuclear material and now, because of the bombing, it's gone. Tur let it slide. According to the experts Iran had zero weapons grade material. Then the two of them closed by saying/agreeing Iran should not be allowed to have a nuclear weapon ever again. The statement is clearly constructed to mean Iran had a nuclear weapon at one time. They clearly have never had a nuclear weapon. But if you didn't know better and listened to these two you would have been told 1. Iran had already developed a nuclear weapon. 2. Iran had a crap ton more nuclear material to make a bunch more weapons.
I get it that Fetterman feels he has to lean right for the state he's in. But even the worst of the GQP hasn't made these claims. I get it that Katy Tur is in way over her head in any conversation above the level of simplistic grade school recitation of events.
