Syria has closed it's border with Lebanon, and the people from the south of Lebanon where Hezbollah is (where a friend of hers has gone to take care of his mother), are being evacuated to the north of Lebanon, because they can't get out, and they don't know what will happen.

She said the whole war is spoken of in terms of the ancient disagreement between Abraham's sons as to who is the rightful heir of the land that was promised by God. Honestly, that is how everyone there still speaks about life there.

Nothing really changes I guess. We have fancier weapons, but as a species we’ve barely evolved. It may as well be hurtling sticks and stones.

I remember watching a documentary with chimps and how they basically went to war with another tribe. It was shocking how brutal it was.
