Just as a matter of public service. I think he probably wants the death penalty for the perpetrators whom police state that they have apprehended.

They were released after being charged. Haven't seen anything about trials/punishment.

(9,044 posts)I tried keeping tabs on the arrests and court cases on the UK Forum, but things were moving so slowly, I lost interest:

The latest press coverage I've managed to find (granted I didn't look too hard) is this from last September:
We previously reported that Ricky Southall, 33, of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, and Umza Bashir, 55, of Leeds, were charged with malicious mischief when they appeared in private at Ayr Sheriff Court on April 7.
Kieran Robson, 33, of Galashiels, appeared at the same court on March 31 charged with malicious mischief in connection with the damage at the resort.
Then on April 10, Autumn Ward, 21, was arrested in Liverpool and charged in connection with the incident.
And Oban pensioners Geoffrey Bush, 75, and Elizabeth Crerar-Brown, 66, subsequently appeared in Ayr Sheriff Court on April 16 following enquiries.

I've no idea how they came up with nine names from those the article mentions, but standards in local newpaper journalism have long not been what we might wish.
I haven't noticed any stories about actual trials, but the legal wheels can move slowly up here.
