Trumps overall approval rating has held relatively steady at 35%, one point off his all-time low in CNN polling. Theres been notable erosion, however, in his standing with his own partisans. The share of Republicans who strongly approve of his job performance has dropped to 43%, from 52% in January.President Donald Trumps approval rating for handling the economy has fallen to a new career low of 31%, according to a new CNN poll conducted by SSRS, reflecting growing pessimism among Americans over the issue they consistently describe as the most important.
Roughly two-thirds of Americans say Trumps policies have worsened economic conditions in the US, up 10 points since January. Just 27% say they approve of Trumps handling of inflation, down from 44% one year ago.

And they do know how to protect their political careers and self-interests.
Trump is polling in the liability zone. Worse than Nixon.

(4,500 posts)33 percent, or are CNN polls just designed to make him look a tad better!
Biden's poor polling numbers had the folks at CNN and James Carville clamoring for his head, maybe Jake Tapper can start drumming to the beat of a real poll collapse, a completely deserved one.

(24,207 posts)People around him convinced him that war with Iran will make him more popular. I'm sure it was all the same rhetoric as usual, "you'll be a war President, everyone supports the President in a time of war, you'll be seen as big and strong..."
