https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-dell-pentagon-contract_n_6a18a464e4b062ca52da921f?origin=home-latest-news-unitTrump bought a load of Dell Technologies stock just months before the computer maker received a massive Pentagon contract, in yet another example of how the president can benefit financially from his work in the White House.
The Defense Department announced Wednesday that Dell had won a $9.7 billion, five-year contract to provide software to the military. Back on Feb. 10, Trump purchased somewhere between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell stock, according to his periodic financial transaction report.
The public did not become aware of that stock purchase until the disclosures were filed earlier this month, as required by law. But in the meantime, the president repeatedly hyped Dell in a series of public speeches, even going so far as to urge people to go out and buy a Dell computer.
Before scoring the Pentagon deal, the Dell family had effectively promoted the president by donating $6.25 billion in funding for so-called Trump accounts, the new tax-advantaged savings vehicles created by the presidents One Big Beautiful Bill Act.

(24,552 posts)Law of averages, I think it's a given that most, if not all, of the people here have morals, scruples, a conscience...
...but I also think (and I'm saying this from my own experience) while people can IMAGINE what it would be like to have NONE of those characteristics in place, we can't fathom the magnitude, because it's not who we are.
He's never known anything else. Born into money, rotten parents, and Roy Cohn as his role model / mentor. What a freakin' combination.
I think most of us have a reasonably good grasp of legal / illegal, moral / amoral, etc.
None of these things ever enter Trump's mind.
I read that sharks swim in the water with their mouths open. Everything that's food goes down the hatch. Everything that's not gets passed out through the gills.
And that's Trump.
I can't FULLY imagine "being" Trump any more than I can FULLY imagine "being" a shark.

Yes I agree.
I have heard about some of the behavior described in the Epstein files
and it is so outrageous and disgusting, this man is capable of anything.
Some of the people here with a mental health or law enforcement career background
can well imagine some of what Trump is capable of.
I think he is quite capable of walking away with a sizable portion of the US Treasury.
