Even though I don't believe it almost any day, as I'm watching the livestream of trumps name being taken off the Kennedy Center, I know Trump is floodig the zone with as much bullshit he can muster to distract from coverage. The news media should not even be reporting about it today, but they suck too.

(12,508 posts)Keep doing you. Reach back and lift up when you can. Tiny acts of kindness mean a lot to folks these days.
I shop for my disabled client every Friday. The same gal checks me out. Julie, is a peach. I always tell her, "Yep, it's my usual Friday nonsense ". She always giggles, and "Loves my nonsense". I always make a point to tell her I appreciate her and what she does for us. She works so hard and has been there forever.
But I always go back to work feeling better, after trying to reach Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage 30% off, top shelf... finding a fellow shopper to reach it for me lol. The perfect 3 just greenest, largest bananas, Exactly 1lb Jojo potatoes... lol Otherwise, I won't hear the end of it! 🤣
Julie is the shining star in the what could be, a shitstorm at the end of an Albertson's weekly shopping trip.

(10,073 posts)He has cancer and at 87 is not good for any more chemo. They were very understanding and helpful but just the call is stressful.
I'll get through it. Im in my sewing room handling fabric.

(12,508 posts)Lost my love to cancer in 2002. I totally remember that call like it was yesterday, and yet, a lifetime ago. He was 43, I was 37.
Luckily, his cancer doc was also head of hospice that year. The transition was seamless. I kept a detailed journal of everything. 2 boys in high school.
There are many here with you on this journey. Please reach out, Any Time! 🥰

(12,508 posts)He won't wear them probably soon, but make sure you don't let people take out all his clothes. You keep what you want! I kept some well worn flannel. No deodorant, just that scent.
Don't let anyone rush you.

(12,508 posts)My fingers and nails are pretty shot, but feeling the fabrics reminded me of when I used to sew for us. The Crazy Halloween costumes my sons would ask for! Lol
My mother in law had gifted me a necchi, that thing was a brute! It repaired my husband's Levi's, and made Power Ranger stretch knit costumes!
