Anyone ever watch the 1993 movie "Tombstone?" It's a typical Hollywood greatly fictionalized account of the fued between the Earp family and a local group of rustlers, thieves, and all-around bad guys called "The Cowboys."

One of the supremely bad Cowboys is one Johnny Ringo -- he was a real person (May 3, 1850 – July 13, 1882) and there's a good Wikipedia article about him.
