Greetings from Michigan!
Saw today that there are 3.3 million registered Alabamians.
2.1 million votes were cast in the 2016 presidential election.
I wonder what the turnout will be for Moore/Jones. Obviously we want big turnout! Will be interesting to see if people are more energized for this than they were the presidential election.
Get us a win Alabama!!!!!!!!!

(31,547 posts)NBC, said that the expected turnout was 25%. That is terrible.

I'm in a very "diverse" part of the state, so I know who they are actually targeting. I bet these ads aren't running in Republican markets!
25% or more in a special election in December in Alabama would be a phenomenol turnout!
Reminder - on the ballot, even though there are only 2 candidates in most counties - Straight Party Ticket is still on there. There are a lot of Republicans who are uncomfortable with voting for Moore - but will never, ever vote for a Democrat. The Party oval gives them an out.
This was an uphill climb from the start. Roy Moore gave us a good shot at an upset. The black leaders have pretty much agreed this election is still up to the white folk. If Republicans stay home, we just might steal us one!
It IS all about turnout!
