A chain of massage parlors in north Alabama has been temporarily banned from operating after investigators found evidence of human trafficking
Attorney General Steve Marshall said Friday his request for a temporary restraining order against TY Green's Massage Therapy, Inc. has been granted by the Madison County Circuit Court.
The company, owned by Yuping Tang and managed by Jiao Liu, Tang's daughter, operated four business in Huntsville, Madison and Decatur. Both Tang and Liu's assets have been frozen and residences seized.
In an emailed statement, Marshall said investigators found evidence that the four businesses operating under the names Health Massage and Massage Foot Care served as "fronts" for human trafficking. Employees of the businesses were forced to work "incredibly long hours," and at least some of them were expected to engage in sex acts with customers. The victims are of Chinese nationality.
