Judge officially drops Hunter Biden's federal gun case after pardon

All future proceedings in Hunter Biden's federal gun case have been terminated.

District Judge Maryellen Noreika issued the order on Tuesday — less than 48 hours after President Joe Biden announced he was pardoning his son.

Hunter Biden was found guilty in June of three felony counts related to lying about his illicit drug use on forms required to purchase a gun. He was scheduled to be sentenced this month. It was supposed to be a culmination of years of investigations that prosecutors said were bolstered by Hunter Biden’s book, “Beautiful Things: A Memoir.” In the book, the president’s son admits to using drugs around the time he bought the gun.

Prosecutors argued that Biden knowingly lied about his drug use on federal gun-purchase forms in 2018. Biden's defense team unsuccessfully tried to convince the jury that the president's son was not actively using at the time of the purchase. After issuing the pardon, President Biden criticized prosecutors for bringing the case in the first place.

And all civil and peaceful messure are not working and/or used up, the last resort may have to be used whether anyone likes it or not. And we're very close to such hopelessness. That is how bad it is. One does not have to endorse (rightly so though) nor condone when it might come down to it.

Yeah, it’d take 50 of ‘em off the streets, but the manufacturers and middlemen wouldn’t care, and DEFINITELY wouldn’t get the message. Unfortunately, all they’d get is more money in their pockets and orders for more to replace what was purchased.

the OTHER guy missing in your list -

Trump Pardons Jared Kushner's Father, Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and 23 Others

Google has conveniently and intentionally attempted to wipe many of the news search results for that 2020 pardon and the current reporting glosses over the "pardoned" part of the description of Charles Kushner's nomination for Ambassador to France, as if the word "pardoned" was the equivalent of saying the "business-dressed" Kushner.

She was the one that blew up the plea deal.
Since we know Trump was pulling strings in
the House, one has to wonder if he had a
hand in that.

millions of Americans who also use any drug, including marijuana, and who bought a gun, and lied on the federal gun purchase form? Are those millions going to be pardoned too?

Oh, wait, that isn't something that is prosecuted. Nevermind.

prosecuted for lying on the 4473 weren't the President's son, so fuck those gun humpers.

"It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, no"

Some animals are more equal than others, just like all the politicians who vote to make it harder for a non criminal citizen to own a gun, but have one (or security) themselves.

To be clear, I don't care that he was pardoned, I don't think that *ANY* non convicted felon should have to even fill out the damned form.
