NYC Mayor Adams requests meeting with Trump's border czar Homan

NEW YORK (WABC) -- New York City Mayor Eric Adams long hampered by the Biden administration's immigration policy said on Tuesday that he has requested a meeting with incoming border czar Tom Homan.

"I would love to sit down with the border czar and hear his thoughts on how we are going to address those who are harming our citizens," Adams said during a news conference. "Find out what his plans are, where our common grounds are. We can work together."

Adams has for months been calling for violent migrants to be deported and seemed to welcome the Trump administration's differing philosophy.

"If you come into this country and this city and think you are going to harm innocent New Yorkers, and innocent migrants and asylum seekers, this is not the mayor you want to be under," Adams said. "I'm an American. Americans have certain rights. The Constitution is for Americans. I'm not a person who snuck into this country."

We as kids, tweens, early teens visited some of NYS. Finger Lakes, Aidarondaks Mts in the sumnertime and up on one of those ski lifts, Niagra Falls, Watkins Glen, Herkimer for digging Herkimer "diamonds", and Howe Caverns (2xs).

6. Hello, ex-NYCr! We'd pass Teaneck on Rt 4 before changing to Rt 17 to go to Ramsey where our cousin still lives

Now we either go by train, and walk the 1/3 - 1/2 mile to her house, or she, or her partner picks us up from the bus stop in Ridgewood, and drive back.

I didn't know till I looked at a NYS map later on as to why they're called The Finger Lakes. 👍

It might be where I rode in the back of a motorboat? I have a very vague memory, but I have a photo of me in the back seat holding onto my hat as we zoomed along! I must have been around 3. I think my dad dated the year in the back.

7. i went to Teaneck High School. graduated in 1961. It is

right on RT 4 so we were called the Highwaymen. I now live in Canandaigua at the head of Canandaigua Lake. There are some great wineries around here...some on a par with Napa Valley!

Cool about the wineries! Vineyards are so pretty. When I was invited to my relatives in Switzerland by the western side about 1/3 - 1/2 way up as they drove me up from Geneva to their parents' village there were so many vineyards we passed by. Very pretty!
