Donald Trump Reiterates Greenland and Canada Should Become Part Of The United States

President-elect Donald Trump's proposal for the United States to annex Greenland has suffered a double blow, with the Danish territory's prime minister telling Fox News "we don't want to be American," while a new USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll found 53 percent of Americans oppose the plans.

Speaking from his Florida Mar-a-Lago resort on January 7, Trump refused to rule out using force to take control of Greenland, leading French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot to say the European Union would respond if its "sovereign borders" are attacked.
.................

Why It Matters

In a December 22 post on his Truth Social website Trump said that "for purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World" if was an "absolute necessity" that the U.S. takes over the "ownership and control" of Greenland.

The latest double setback for Trump's plans come as the dispute threatens to turn into an open diplomatic row between the U.S. and NATO ally Denmark once the Republican is inaugurated as president for the second time on January 20. Trump reportedly discussed the issue during a 45-minute phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Wednesday.................

Greenland is full of precious materials for him to reach his wet dream of a trillion-dollar personal assets value.

Who cares if anyone is hurt or killed in the process of acquiring it by force if necessary?

No one took it seriously, it was just a joke...more nonsense from an addled-brained Trump, like drinking bleach, or shining a lignt up your ass. It appears the delusional imbecile actually believes his own made-up fantasies, a clear sign of mental illness.

His suitability to do counter work at a convenience store is very much in doubt. The attributes he has to do the job in front of him are at the bottom of an abyss that he's happy to keep excavating.

"Look at that beautiful pit! No one has ever dug himself so deep!"

We are in uncharted territory here, my friend.

The official language of Greenland is DANISH not English. There's no way they will ever agree to be "bought" by the USA. There's no way that Denmark will ever want to "sell" Greenland to anyone.

The same holds for Canada, except that their national languages are English and FRENCH. Will Chump or any of the MAGAs ever learn another language? Of course not!

Please ... just ... stop!

I think the Trump Cabal is actively planning to steal Greenland, either by buying it at gunpoint, or physically taking it over if that fails. Worse, I think the odds they succeed are pretty high This is exactly the sort of thing that 'no guardrails' means, in practice.

To IQ47, 47% not against it means it's wildly popular. You think Johnson, Thune, Hegseth, or the Dirty 6 are going to stop him? We also know he plans to purge the 'disloyal' generals, right? I think Panama Canal and Canada are the distractions, and Greenland is very real. Hope very much I'm wrong, but I really don't think it's all bluster and bullshit. I think Trump wants it, and thinks he can get it. And I think Denmark will sell it. But it'll be at gunpoint, and The People won't be made aware of the threat of violence if they didn't take the offer, because it'll be done during another 'perfect phone call', which this time nobody rats him out about, and there's sure as hell no impeachment over it.

It's also a pathetically low number, wtf is wrong is wrong with people I think not only is shitbird serious about taking over Greenland, it's more likely than not he will succeed. He will tell Denmark that if they don't agree to the 'deal' he's offering to buy it, the USA will simply send troops to take it, and nobody's going to jack shit about it. Johnson, Thune, Hegseth, the post-purge Generals will go along with it. In the end, no one will take up arms against the USA, no shots will be fired. Either Denmark will sell it the USA at gunpoint, or abandon it when Trump send a couple aircraft carriers and 10K+ troops to take it over and plant the US flag in the capital. And Putin will cackle with glee when it happens.

Essentially same old story as has been practiced for centuries, pushing out indigenous populations in order to grab the resources. Only this time there's some pesky other white people to contend with, that could get a little messy. Arctic ocean shipping lanes opening up thanks to global warming is an added plus.
