Republican Operative Nicholas Jacobs Locks Twitter After Elon Musk Check Controversy
Source: MeidasNews
Nicholas Jacobs, chair of the Wisconsin College Republicans and a rising GOP operative, has locked his Twitter account following intense backlash over his acceptance of a $1 million check from Elon Musk. The controversial payout, handed to Jacobs during Musks March 30 rally in Green Bay, has fueled accusations that he was being rewarded for his political influence rather than as an impartial voter.
Critics across social media questioned the ethics of a prominent Republican activist receiving such a massive sum amid Wisconsins heated Supreme Court race, leading to growing scrutiny of his role in conservative politics. The Wisconsin attorney general attempted to stop the payouts from Musk over concerns they could influence the election illegally.
