Live results: Cassidy loses Louisiana Senate GOP primary as Letlow, Fleming advance to runoff

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by GP6971 (a host of the Latest Breaking News forum).

Source: The Hill

Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) was projected to fail to advance to the runoff in the state’s GOP Senate primary Saturday, according to Decision Desk HQ.

Trump has endorsed Rep. Julia Letlow (R) in her challenge against Cassidy. Polling from last month showed Cassidy trailing Letlow and Republican John Fleming, who currently serves as the state treasurer.

On the other side of the aisle, farmer Jamie Davis has advanced while two other candidates — former Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) aide Nick Albares and consultant Gary Crockett — were seeking the second spot in a potential Democratic runoff.

Polls closed at 8 p.m. CDT. Follow Decision Desk HQ’s live results below.
