MAGA turns on Trump Cabinet official for stunningly tone-deaf celebration: 'Fire her'

Source: Raw Story

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins took to social media Saturday to celebrate a series of new “commitments” from China – namely, the export of American beef, an announcement that came amid U.S. beef prices reaching their highest level in recorded history, sparking a considerable backlash from MAGA-aligned figures.

“Proud to confirm that our deal-maker-in-chief [President Donald Trump] has done it AGAIN!” Rollins said in a statement. “American beef – the best beef in the world! – will be back on the shelves in China soon. They are implementing beef commitments, including resuming imports from 17 states.”. The announcement came just one day after a report from Yahoo Finance that found that beef prices in the United States had eclipsed $7 per pound “for the first time in history,” leaving many conservative or MAGA-aligned figures dumbfounded.

“We just relaxed tariffs on importation of Argentinian beef because the lack of U.S. supply relative to demand was jacking up prices, but now we are going to export the U.S. beef we were told we were short on to China? Make it make sense,” wrote Sean Davis, the co-founder of the conservative magazine The Federalist who was described by The Daily Beast as a “leading MAGA mouthpiece.”

Self-described “America First” Republican and former congressional candidate David Giglio also expressed confusion at Rollins’ announcement given the historic spike in U.S. beef prices. “How about we focus on having affordable beef on the shelves in, I don't know, America???” Giglio wrote in a social media post on X.

Data suggests otherwise. They seem largely driven by how much policies will cause suffering for their perceived “enemies.”

Reading through this thread finds just more evidence of Trump’s duplicity. You can’t count on ANYTHING he says, OR what any other part of industry hears when he talks. And how much they are or aren’t believing what he says.

Trump lies like the rest by of us breathe! Everything he says has some measure of duplicity or untruth in it. Everything! Seems to me you’re smart ALWAYS to get a second opinion on ANY statement he makes. You’ve seen and heard more than enough by now to know you “take his word for it” at your peril.

That the Child Rapist lies about everything EXCEPT who he hates. They chose him because he hates who they hate: Women, Blacks, Hispanics, liberals, the poor, the sick, and foreigners.

Rollins didn't make this commitment to China. Trump did. If they wish to vent their anger, direct it at the one who caused the foul policy to be instituted, not the simple-minded herald who simply bleated out the latest inanity.

trump just made up everything he said was accomplished. he just blurts out stuff for domestic consumption. The chinese didn't confirm anything he bloviated about. trump does this all the time. he gets some pomp and circumstance to fluff up his sense of royalty in his mind and then comes away saying how "great" everyone is and that all these "magnificent deals" were made, followed by ... nothing. In the meantime, the foreign leaders, well aware of what he is (they don't get sane-washed reports like the US media spoon feeds us,) just flatters him which triggers trump to make up things that sound good but don't really exist.

Were lowering restriction so we can buy South American beef, to lower US consumer prices, while we sell beef to China to keep the price of beef high for the rancher. DUH
Correct, Am I missing something here ?

No, I don’t know where he fits for sure in the story, but there’s always a big strong man with tears in his eyes. Gotta be there somewhere.
