Trump Doctor Visit Renews Health Scrutiny as 80th Birthday Nears

(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump’s upcoming medical examination is intensifying health-related scrutiny that has surrounded him ever since his first campaign for the nation’s highest office more than a decade ago.

Trump on Tuesday is heading to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for his fourth publicly disclosed doctor’s appointment since the start of his second term. The White House has offered few details about the visit, saying it would involve “routine annual dental and medical assessments.”

Yet the nature of the May 11 announcement prompted more questions about Trump’s well-being. It will be his third known meeting with a dentist this year, more than the biannual checkups typical for most Americans, and follows three doctor’s visits last year. The moment also shines a spotlight on Trump’s age, as he turns 80 next month. It’s coming at a challenging political time for a president set on projecting vigor and strength.

The US is bogged down in an intractable conflict with Iran, which has wreaked havoc on the global economy. Trump is also grappling with resistance from congressional Republicans who face the prospect of defeat in the November midterm election in large part due to voters who have soured on his leadership.

I think dental-wise, "celebrities" go for "veneers", expensive ones which can supposedly last up to 15 years, and I expect since he is so vain and was in the biz, he is getting replacements (which explains why is "smiling" more).

Otherwise he's falling apart.

Veneers tend to cost less than half as much as implants, which are also more permanent.

doing it now at his current age, it could crack his jaw. And with his "public" schedule, he wouldn't have the sufficient time to heal from that.

people would be less apt to scrutinize. Crazy, radical strategy to stop speculation: telling the truth.

This lot is congenitally unable to do that.
