The Hill - Donald Trump won the election. Now he's losing it.

On Nov. 5, Americans hired Donald Trump to do three things: put more money into their pockets; lower prices for gas, groceries and rent and restore order at the southern border.

Trump was not hired to gut the Justice Department, abolish the FBI, pardon the Jan. 6 rioters, weaken our intelligence agencies, eliminate the Department of Education or “go wild on health.”

Trump’s initial nominations of Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) for attorney general (now withdrawn), Pete Hesgeth for secretary of Defense, Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as secretary of Health and Human Services, and Mehmet Oz as administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services go far beyond the directives he received from voters.

Instead of lending expertise to those departments, Trump is determined to exact revenge by gutting them. As Trump consigliere Steve Bannon says, “It ain’t morning in America.”

The orange carbuncle threatened to do this and more. His supporters said he was only kidding. In a perfect world only they would be affected by his extreme. Unfortunately, we don't live there.

And eliminating departments - their functions have to be assumed by someone else. So, basically he is doing a fire-sale of the government and people like Musk will get the Contracts to provide those services.

The Oligarchs are buying America - the National Parks, Education, etc.

As far as the Intelligence Services (via the people he put in charge), the Military etc., he is just doing Putin’s doing. I am amazed that the Congress is not shitting blood over the number of Russian contacts / assets that are in the proposed Trump Cabinet.

If he is not able to put the American Military in the streets to control the population (none would be necessary in the Red States) I wouldn’t be surprised if he requested Russian Military to perform the task.

I can’t believe the stupidity /ignorance of the people that voted for him and those that chose not to vote.

Deliberate toxic disqualifiers of his nominees notwithstanding, this proposed “cabinet” is nothing less than Trump spitting on Americans. He really does not like them or us, any of us, at all. It has been noted by those who know him well that he is not capable of love, suggesting that he is also incapable of “like”. His self-importance is all that matters to him.

It makes me so sad that we had a choice between morning in America and darkness, and we chose darkness. We'll have to live with that for at least the next four years and probably way beyond.

I'm amazed that ANYONE thinks he's going to "move on" in four years. When are people going to wake up and realize we don't have a president, we have a dictator. Dictators don't do an expressed number of years and then bow out. They rig the game so they're in the chair until death, or they can install the successor... which, if we're not a satellite of Russia by then, means we'll have D trump Jr until he dies. And so on, and so on, and so on. Forget it, America. You freaking blew it. You and your "own the libs" stupidity has owned the country. Welcome to the Russian satellite states of America.

And I’m hoping his death is within just a few days of his inauguration.

He equaled Grover Cleveland. Maybe he can best William Henry Harrison.

10. Gas prices

We’re in Texas now, heading to Mexico tomorrow to spend the winter on the beach drinking and eating shrimp. Back on the West Coast gas is $4-5 a gallon and all 3 states voted for Harris. Down here in Arizona and Texas it’s under $3 a gallon and they chose Trump. Just how cheap do they expect it to be?

I think we should all take a photo of the local gas prices the day before the inauguration. Let's rub their noses in it again and again during the next 4 years.

I saw some lower prices, mainly produce, at a Tucson Fry's but there were also prices out of sight. Going shopping is like playing the lottery!

It was $2.17 a gallon. Trump supporters keep posting memes showing wildly inflated prices. I posted one with the gas prices and someone said "now post grocery prices". I posted a picture from my Kroger app with eggs for $2.39 for an 18 pack. Crickets!

Must especially to put that uppity black woman and the former uppity black man back in their place.

They hoped foolishly that he would help the economy.

They want him to make LGBTQ suffer. Muslims suffer. Hispanics suffer, even if the are citizens.

Let them have stand your ground laws nationwide so they can go hunting uppity black folks like Kyle Rittenhouse.

So long as others suffer worse than them. The overwhelming majority of mango Mussolini voters will be happy.
