JD Vance is telling preposterous lies that fit easily within a Hitlerian frame of believing that the bigger lie is often easier to believe than the smaller one. The Trump administration has broken faith with the American creed, all of our traditions and our foundational purpose. It is not an administration. It is a regime, and henceforth, it will be referred to as such here — always.

The Trump regime is a danger to humanity, and an affront to American values. It is a menace to liberty, a threat to freedom, the rule of law, public safety, the American economy, family security, American alliances and simple decency.

What it is and stands for needs no more deciphering, strained wonderment from credulous corporate media scribers in Washington, DC, or any interpretation from paid liars like Scott Jennings, or any reverse engineering necessary from one of Maggie Haberman’s anonymous sources saying, “No, it’s not like that. Trump doesn’t really mean it. Don’t worry about it. We got it.”

They haven’t, they didn’t, and they won’t.

If someone was going to do the obvious thing to create a gigantic speed bump to their whole regime, I believe they would have done it by now.
