(107,288 posts)I realize the others are "classics" but knowing there is going to be all those desserts later, I just don't get including too much sugary food at dinner. Now plain sweet potatoes with a bit of butter, yeah. But not the ooey gooey candied ones. And cranberries are interesting to me. I'm not sure I've ever eaten them no matter what form they come in. Not that I would not like them, mind you, but it always just seemed an oversight to me.

(10,006 posts)It would depend on who's making the side dishes and the entire ingredients list.
I would say the canned jelly cranberry would stay without knowing any of the above.
P.S. I love marshmallows, especially campfire and broiler roasted marshmallows.

(16,233 posts)after roasting them, I put a stick of butter, some brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg in a pot and simmer all that for about 15 minutes, then I pour it over the sweet potatoes.

Can I have two? Love jellied cranberry sauce, low sugar if I can find it.

(381 posts)I do really like it, but the main reason I would keep it is my sister always brings it for the family Thanksgiving - which is always at my house. One less dish I have to worry about.

(390 posts)I definitely like the cranberry option. I even sometimes eat them on other occasions. I don't like any of the other choices, so this was an easy question to answer.

(26,963 posts)I personally consider jello salad to be re-gurgitated vomit, although apparently other people like it.
But WHY should anyone have to get rid of things they like???

(5,267 posts)It is a must have. Creamed spinach and mashed potatoes can substitute for the others, but nothing can replace that weird cranberry goodness.
