Henry Mancini was one of the greats. "Moon River" is one of the best songs ever written, in my view. It's melody, harmony with off-key embellishments and lyrical twists, ("My Huckleberry friend" ) make it one of the greatest songs from a motion picture.

And then he wrote... EVERYTHING.

Sorry I missed the broadcast.

SWEET story about Moon River, letter Audrey H wrote him about it and what his work does for us all.

You're closer to such talents than I, I think; I'm a mere observer.

His conducting, playing, and his witty comments were fantastic. Truly a great man and a legend in the music field!
