How "fast" do you eat? ...or are you a slow eater? Is it associated with ADHD?

When I google it, it seems like an eating disorder...or executive function issue.

I know when I get involved in a project...I can't stop to make a sandwich or something because then I won't continue the project. Or I "forget" to eat until I get a headache or dizzy and realize I'm running on pure adrenaline...

So today as an example I'm cleaning up for my son's arrival with GF and a toddler...so there's a lot to be done. I am also dealing with the aftermath of an abusive ex in the mix who tended to buy stupid shit for no reason so I keep finding MORE crap to add to the "sell this sht" pile in the office...
I just could NOT make a sandwich so I door dashed a burger and didn't realize I was INHALING it till about 1/2 way through...I am making this post so I can s l o w down and take a breath and enjoy my food ...and maybe look around at what I have accomplished so far...

But yeah, maybe the fast eating also comes from being a single mom always on the go and having to jump to take care of the next thing...IDK

Thoughts?

I'm pretty good at focusing on the task at hand, lol. Plus I'm no good at small talk, so stuffing my face helps prevent any of that, too.

My wife isn't a particularly slow eater, but if we are out eating dinner, I have to conscious of my pace, or I'm done when she's a third of the way.
So, I eat pretty quickly.
I know nothing about that and any correlation to personality traits.

Because I eat so fast, I'm always tempted to get a second helping because I eat so fast. But I have learned through experience that if I give it some to hit my stomach, I will be full.

It kind of makes be feel bad sometimes because she puts so much effort in cooking us a good meal and I just gobble it up in no time.

As as artist, or crafting and really concentrating I'll keep going till I'm at a good point to stop, on pretty rare occasion it's a rumbly stomach that will tweak me when I'm not stopping.

I eat very fast, a habit acquired in the Army...
I understand that this is a common trait among veterans...

In kindergarten, our class always got a story--but everyone had to finish their pre-story milk and cookies before we got the story. I was usually the last one finished, and the teacher and the other kids would shame me for it. After a bit of that, I started to eat more rapidly and have been a rapid eater ever since.
