(13 posts)all the really fun stuff has been taken out. You know, the stuff that might go boom or burn something. My dad had a chemical engineering degree (never used it) and he would buy me almost anything I was curious about to play with. Drove my mom nuts.

(106,571 posts)I know a lot of people take these kind of things for granted, but there are a lot like my family who just couldn't afford such things.
I eventually bought one for myself when I was old enough for a part-time job. Probably better, any way.
