(781 posts)Brinsley Schwarz - feat. several future famous players (like future solo hitmakers Nick Lowe and Ian Gomm and future Graham Parker & the Rumour guitarist Brinsley Schwarz) on a song, engineered by future solo hitmaker Dave Edmunds, that later became a hit for Elvis Costello.
Ducks Deluxe - feat. Bob Andrews (future Graham Parker & the Rumour on Keyboards) and Nick Garvey (future Motors on bass) with the incomparable and/or improbable Sean Tyla (guitar).

(781 posts)If you don't have a local supplier, try Discogs.com They typically have original vinyl in their marketplace, and Edsel Records (UK) did reissues on CD if that's what you're into. Most aren't terribly expensive. Brinsley has done two solo LPs recently as well.

(27,562 posts)Not in the to be or not to be sense, but more like WTF am I going to do with my life? All this music provided accompaniment to my angst. Its pleasant to listen now, as I reflect on the journey that followed, and see that many of my fears were unfounded.

(20,603 posts)It takes you back. There are so many songs I'll hear from the '80s when I was a teenager and I can visualize myself in certain places with friends from those days.
What a legacy singers leave. They can transport us back decades!
